FAQs

is your jewelry made from real bones?

each metal & marrow piece is made from sterling and fine silver, but i make all my casts from real bones. some pieces have been modified for size or stability, but the beginning is always a real bone or animal part.

are any animals harmed in the making of your jewelry?

absolutely not. nothing is ever harmed for my work.

i see some pieces are “made to order”, what does that mean?

made to order means when you place your order— i start making it from scratch. these pieces will have a 1-2 week processing time

how long will it take for my new jewelry to arrive?

ready to ship items are just that! they will be shipped in 2-3 business days.
made to order items are generally ready to ship in 1 week, but can take as long as 2 weeks.

domestic shipping is typically 3-5 days delivery time from the date of shipping.

if you need a piece sooner than that please send us an email before you place your order so we can make sure we can accommodate you.

do you have a store where i can see your silver jewelry?

no. at this time our jewelry is only available for purchase online.

do you make all the pieces yourself?

yes! each piece is hand made by me every step of the way. thank you for your support.

what material is your jewelry made out of?

all metal & marrow pieces are made out of 925 sterling silver and fine silver.

what is the difference between fine silver and sterling silver?

the basic difference between fine silver and sterling silver is simply the purity of the silver. fine silver is 99.9% pure silver; sterling silver is a minimum of 92.5% silver. the added alloys actually allow the silver to be harder and more durable

how do i care for my jewelry?

please read our care page here

can pieces be modified?

yes and no. certain things, like chain length and or bangle size or thickness can be altered with a price modification, but other requests like custom skulls, or specific bones cannot be accepted at this time.

do you take custom orders?

sometimes! i am a mother first and a maker second. if you are interested in a custom piece please feel free to reach out and we can discuss what you'd like and the timeframe it would take.

how do i know what size i want for bangles?

the best way to figure out which size is best for you is to decide if you like the “open” or “closed” bangle look. if you'd like the bangle to “close” (have the ends go past each other) then opt for the larger size. if you'd like the bangle to remain “open” (have an open space between the ends) then opt for the smaller size.

please note that each bracelet is adjustable to accommodate variances for individual wrists.

what if i don't know my ring size?

there are a few options— you can go to any local jeweler and get sized, you can measure your finger with string or paper and then get a reading from that, or, if you have a ring that already fits well, you can measure the diameter.

do you offer a warranty or guarantee your work?

we guarantee that your jewelry is free from defects when it is shipped to you.  however, if you receive your new jewelry and notice a problem, send it back immediately and we’ll take care of the issue.  unfortunately, we cannot offer a warranty because we can’t control how you wear the jewelry or care for it.  our jewelry can last a lifetime if worn with common sense.
